Roger Hamilton inspires entreprene
To get ahead the South African economy is in need of more entrepreneurs to boost growth, foster innovation, and aid job creation. It was this sentiment that Roger James Hamilton echoed during his Entrepreneurs Fast Track 2018 event in Port Elizabeth.
Brought to the city by Magnetic Minds, Hamilton not only inspired over 160 entrepreneurs who attended the event but shared insights to grow and develop businesses to 10x their impact.
A world-renowned futurist and social entrepreneur, Hamilton is a New York Times best-selling author and founder of Entrepreneurs Institute, GeniusU, Wealth Dynamics and Talent Dynamics.
“The biggest obstacle to entrepreneurial progress is the illusion of knowledge. Think like a beginner, for in the beginner’s mind, there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s mind there are few,” says Hamilton.
The reality is entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs are in a position to take control of their growth, to create teams that have a natural flow and give employees a sense of purpose
and know that they’re contributing to a bigger cause.
Magnetic Minds is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Jane Stevenson and Glenn van Eck who have been working with Hamilton for the past three years. The business stems from their entrepreneurial journey and offers business coaching strategy, customer focus groups, high-performance team creation and tailored business solutions that equip leaders and teams to magnify results and impact.
“Glenn is an experienced entrepreneur, and Magnetic Storm is a great success story. We both are still involved in Magnetic Storm at a strategic level and love the thrill of the events, and the tech sector,” adds Stevenson. “With over 20 years experience in business coaching and strategy and team dynamics, my experience is across corporate and SMEs. Together with our team, we are excited to share our expertise and insights with the business community to enable growth.”
