ShowMe Cares Policy

Our aim at ShowMe is to provide a platform from where we can all pull together and uplift our community.

Who do I give to?
How is the money used?
What controls are in place?

The difficulty that most good-hearted, community-orientated people face, is who to give to, how is the money to be used, and what controls are in place to ensure that the donation will end up supporting the cause.

ShowMe has committed to put in place a vehicle that will help to make your contribution as meaningful as you would have wanted. We have found that there are many worthy causes that do not have the infrastructure to keep accounts, and we have made it possible for you to support them.

For you to decide which community work you would like to support, we have devoted a section of our websites to this cause. In this section, each listed cause has been visited by us to ensure that the effort is genuine. Each listing has completed a form, explaining their special needs as a “wishlist”.

The collected funds go directly to the ShowMe Trust Fund, and gets distributed according to their wishlist requirements in a fair, impartial way. No money gets paid out, except on a signed invoice with Proof of Delivery from the supplier. Only auditing and bank charges will be deducted from the monies collected, to give the recipient the full benefit from your contribution.

The Trust Fund, kindly set up by Mosdell, Pama and Cox, will be audited by Michaelides & Co, Registered Accountants and Auditors. The trustees will include Perino Pama, who, together with other trustees, will be responsible for the equitable distribution of all collections.

We would like to recognize the donors, and we have done this by adding a heart symbol to their business listings.

You do not have to donate to the ShowMe Fund, as we will try to list all our good causes, together with their bank account details. Should you choose to, you can donate directly to them, but in that case, if you are a business, we would not know about your donation.

If you know of a worthy cause that has not been represented on our site, please e-mail the details to editor@showme.co.za
