Swimmers in Secunda show their skills

Young swimmers had a chance to show off their skills during the Aqua Adventures LTS and Gala Swim Club (AASC)’s first inter-house fun gala on September 13.

Organiser Riana Bezuidenhout said the gala was organised for level 3 (last level when they learn how to swim and when freestyle and backstroke have been completed), level 0 (first gala level for swimmers who will be taught how to swim full backstroke, a breakdown of butterfly style, the start, turns and finish of freestyle and breaststroke) and level 0/1 swimmers (the second and final level of the introduction to galas a swimmer on this level will begin to compete for qualifying times for levels 1 and 2).
