Cricket club in Secunda acknowledges top players

The Sasol Secunda Cricket Club awarded their top players at a recent ceremony.

The Sasol Secunda Cricket Club awarded their players in the men’s and women’s teams for their outstanding performances in the 2022/23 cricket season at a ceremony on August 26 at Ukhozi Lodge.

Nicus Boshoff took the men’s player of the year, players’ player of the year and T20 player of the year awards.

Pieter Vrolijk was awarded Premier League batter, and Ignus Koekemoer Premier bowler of the year.

The T20 batter of the year went to George Louw, with Vernon Fourie taking the T20 bowler award. Xander Muller (U13) took junior player of the year.

Elaine Herbst earned the women’s player of the year award and the women’s bowler of the year. The women’s batter of the year award went to Bianca Brummer.
