His Way Family Church winter drive serves the homeless

At the His Way Family Church Winter Drive over 90 homeless people received a hot meal, tinned food, clothes and blankets at the Lilian Ngoyi Centre on July 26.

Volunteers of His Way Family Church set off with the His Arms July Winter Drive for the homeless at the Lilian Ngoyi Centre on July 26.

The drive aimed to spread the Word of God to the homeless and provide them with a hot meal, clothes, blankets and food hampers.

They also received a general medical check-up and first aid assistance. The Yahweh Rapha Recovery Centre joined the team to offer counselling.

“Members of our congregation and a few local businesses donated money and sponsored items to make this possible,” said Toshantha Govindan of His Way Family Church.

His Way Family Church, led by senior pastors Randal and Ray-Jean Donnely, aims to serve the community a few times a year.
