Classical singer from eMbalenhle releases his single
He chose to sing classical music because of the discipline and the character it has instilled in him.
Rich Doremi, a classical music singer from eMbalenhle, released his first single, Suphel’amandla at Kedijo Café in Trichardt on Friday, September 18.
Born and raised at eMbalenhle as Mr Nhlanhla Nkosi, Doremi travelled extensively in Southern Europe that includes Greece, Mykonos, Corfu and the Turkey Islands where he spent six months singing in hotels, restaurants and resorts.
He chose to sing classical music because of the discipline and the character it has instilled in him.
“I do tributes and cover a few ballad masterpieces and classics from artists such as Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Russel Watson and Frank Sinatra.
“During my of Europe I managed to learn to sing in German, Italian, French and Spanish and my United Kingdom agency wanted me to release this single as preparation for my cruise ship tour that will soon take place,” said Doremi.
He sang 17 tracks, including his single and the duet where he featured four classic musicians, Ms Lungiswa Madonsela, Ms Salome Mokoena, Ms Mbali Mathabatha and Mr Duga Mabena.
His classic song “Quisaz Quisaz” with its Spanish lyrics took the audience by storm.
He said his single-track named Suphel’amandla (Don’t give up) is available on digital stores worldwide.
