Welcome to the BLM Foundation

Bashi L Makgale (BLM) Foundation is a non-profit organisation that focuses on Youth Sports Development in the rural areas of the North West Province.

Founder Bashi L Makgale saw the need to open a foundation for the children and youth of the surround Rustenburg, Phokeng area and started this foundation for children and youth of ages 8 to 18.

You can help by either volunteering, donating or helping out with our projects.

About the BLM Foundation

As a non-profit organisation, the Bashi L Makgale Foundation would not be able to help to uplift the children of the surrounding areas of Rustenburg, Phokeng, without the dedicated team. The people make it possible for the children to learn not just about sports but also the perseverance it takes to get to your goal. Teamwork and what it means to face challenges is thought at BLM foundations

and Edwin Tlou.

BLM Foundation Projects

What we do:

At the Bashi L Makgale Foundation, we provide the children in rural areas an opportunity to play different kinds of sport like:

Rugby,
Cricket,
Tennis,
Golf,
Soccer
and Netball.

We help these children build their confidence and give them a sense of future. They can get the belief that they can uplift themselves out of their circumstances and grow into young adults who’ll contribute to a brighter future.

Volunteering

At Bashi L Makgale Foundation, we are always in need of volunteers. Although we appreciate every donation in whichever form it comes, it’s the people that will help the most of making the BLM Foundation a place where the children of surrounding Rustenburg, can come together and play, learn and teach.

We need volunteers to help teach the children a variety of sports i.e. rugby, cricket, soccer, tennis, netball and more. As well as life coaches who can give these children a sense of belonging and hope for their future.

Are you registered as a Public Benefit Organisation?

We are in the process of registering.

Are you able to issue a Section 18A certificate to donors so that their donations are tax-deductable?

How will my donation be used?
On sports equipment, maintaining of the grounds, supply of water to drink and food after every game or session…

Our Wish List

We have received great feedback from the Royal Bafokeng People, who have given us leave to use the grounds of the Royal Bafokeng Sports Grounds. They also sponsored us with grounds of our own and watersupply, but we still need the following:

Upgrading BLM’s grounds and maintaining them.

Grass for the grounds
Fencing all round (sponsor is welcome to brand the fencing with their company name: Sponsored by: CompanyName)
Ground stands for parents to join and watch
