Wee Care – Food parcels for December 2016

Wee Care is asking the Rustenburg community for help, so that they can  help those in need.

The Wee Care project is a project that helps under privileged children. There are 50 children involved in this project.  Volunteers help out without any form of remuneration. (We are urgently in need of more volunteers to help us once a week for 3 hours.) The children get picked up on a daily basis from Amberboomln, Thlabane, Geelhoutpark, Karlienpark, Rtb-Noord en Oos-Einde and are then brought to the church hall of the NG Church Rustenburg-South. From 08:00 – 11:00 the children get ‘educational stimulation’ and a nutritious plate of food which is sometimes the only meal they get for the day. 

This project closes on school holidays and because the December holidays usually are extra long, we would like to give each child a food parcel to help them during the holidays. We take the liberty of asking you if you wouldn’t mind getting involved by either advertising or collecting some of the food on the list of items we pack per food parcel.

1 x 2,5 kg mealiemeal                                                  2 x tins mixed vegetables

1 x 2,5 kg. sugar                                                          1 x tin tomato & onion

1 x 1kg. rice                                                                 2 x tins baked beans

1 x 1kg. oats                                                                2 tins Pilchards

2 x 500gr. pasta                                                           2 tins “Corned Beef”

8 x 2min noodles                                                          2, 5 doz eggs

1 x 500gr. salt                                                               4 packets soup

2 x 400gr. soy meat                                                      2 packets biscuits

1 x coffee (medium tin)                                                 8 packets jelly

1 x rooibos tea (medium-packet)                                  2 bars of soap

1 x 750ml. oil                                                                1 tube of toothpaste

1 x 1kg. jam                                                                  3 toothbrushes

1 x 400gr. Peanut butter                                               1 x 1kg. washing powder/1 bar Sunlight soap

2 x tins of fruit salad                                                      2 x  500gr. Margarine

1 x 500g Milk powder

The articles can be dropped off at the NG Church Rustenburg-South (c/o Kerk & Uniestraat) Please make the drop off before the 10^th December. If you prefer making a monetary donation, we worked out that each food parcel will cost around R1 000 or as much as you are able to help with, each little bit helps. The money can be paid into the projects bank account:
