Given Mmane 3rd runner up in Mrs Global International World

Thank you so much for the opportunity to introduce myself. I am Given Mmane, the reigning Mrs Africa South 2017 and the 3rd runner up for the Mrs Global International World 2017. I represented the African continent, our country South Africa and my city Rustenburg at the Mrs Global International World competition on 14 September 2017 in Moscow-Russia.

I am happy to announce that at this international Pageant, I was crowned the 3rd runner up. I also received the following awards:

1. Mrs Best National Costume award, which was designed and sponsored by a local Designer, Dr Bolaji Adeoti of Couture Esperanza.

2. My stream of luck didn’t end there, I also received the Mrs Trendsetter award.

given-mmane-traditional-dress-300 I would like to thank all Rustenburgers and all my sponsors for the love and support they gave me as I was preparing for this prestigious event. I would also like to pass on my gratitude to the Mrs Global International World and the Milestone Pageants management, the Mrs Africa organization and its CEO Mrs Carolyn Botha for the opportunity to represent my continent on a global scale.

The mission of Mrs Africa is to give dignity back and I will continue to assist in any way possible in my local communities and on the African Continent.

In my own community I am involved with distribution of both washable and disposable sanitary pads to disadvantaged girls and women. I raise funds though seminars and workshops as well as ask for donations to get the pads.

I’m also running a social club to motivate and encourage young girls to build a better life for themselves. I’m involved with Save a girl campaign – an organization that provides girls with pads and motivation. I have been a part of an organization called No-limits, which aims to get the youth off the streets through sports, seminars and workshops on ‘building a better life’. From time to time I collect second hand clothes for disadvantaged families and I also collect food items for them.

Winning Mrs Africa South 2017 and now being rated 4th in the world amongst women who are willing to bring change in the lives of other, has given me a huge platform to not only gain support for my causes but also showcase our beautiful country of South Africa as well as our African Continent to the world.
