SHORT DESCRIPTION: The qualifying learner is capable of preparing to erect scaffolding, erecting scaffolding, dismantling and storing scaffolding and demonstrating knowledge of scaffolds and scaffold components and the inspecting of the scaffolding.

COURSE CONTENTS:

 

  1. Scaffolding preparation, erecting and stripping techniques;

  2. Knowledge of fittings related to scaffolding;

  3. Fault identification;

  4. Knowledge and understanding of transport, handling and storage of scaffolding components and tools related to scaffolding;

  5. Knowledge of the properties, maintenance and care of scaffolding, its components and tools related to scaffolding;

  6. Dismantle scaffolding;

  7. Inspecting of scaffolding;

  8. Certifying the scaffold "safe to use".
