SHORT DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to inform employees about health and safety legislation in the workplace. This course will ensure that they are able to contribute to a safe, healthy environment for themselves and others.

COURSE CONTENTS:

1. Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993;

2. Duties and responsibilities of the employees;

3. Incident reporting procedures;

4. Introduction to fire prevention, protection and evacuation;

5. General housekeeping;

6. Do's and Don'ts of health and safety;

7. Hazard identification in the work place;

8. Reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
