Community Hearing Outreach Project (CHOP)-(Free hearing screening for babies and young children)

The Main objectives of the CHOP project are:


Communities already reached as well as future communities to benefit are as follows:

Clinics where these services are offered are: RAYTON AND REFILWE in the Cullinan Area and a pilot project opened in February 2006 at DANVILLE CLINIC – Pretoria West.

Since this the project has expanded and we have complete the first year of a three year contract with the Tshwane Dept of Social development, with the aim of offering permanent screening at selected clinics in the area. A further 3 year contract has been signed taking us through to 2016.
