Celebrating Italian Day
We all love pizza and for most kids they would be happy to eat pizza for breakfast lunch and supper.
On Monday, 2 June 2014, to celebrate Italian Day or Festa della Repubblica, Roman’s Pizza treated 250 children of the Jakaranda Children’s Home in Pretoria, to a selection of cheesy, hot pizzas with a variety of yummy toppings.

About Jakaranda Children’s Home
The Jakaranda Children`s Home is a non-profit organization that looks after the welfare of abused children. They are currently looking after 250 children between the ages of 18 months and 18 years, who have been put in their care by the South African children’s court due to abandonment, neglect, emotional and physical abuse.
Founded in 1987, in Pretoria, their primary purpose is to provide children with clothing, housing, schooling, food, security and stability. With only 35 percent of their annual running costs being subsidised by the government, the Jakaranda Children`s Home relies heavily on corporate sponsors, private donors and fundraising from the community to effectively manage the organisation and help children reach their full potential. To find out more about the amazing work that they do or to donate, call 012 800 4700 or go to www.jacarandachildren.co.za
