Hatfield
Hatfield is a convient-located suburb, famous for its nightlife, office parks, shopping and restaurants. The suburb is also known for its high density of students and student accommodation, due to the University of Pretoria’s main campus in the suburb.
Close to the city centre and many tourist attractions, Hatfield is one of Pretoria’s most lively suburbs.
Medical Facility
The Urology Hospital Hatfield is situated on the corner of Grosvenor and Pretorius Street. The hospital is also the home of the Urology Pharmacy, the first automated stock and dispensing system hospital pharmacy in South Africa.
Education
The main and biggest campus of the University of Pretoria, the Hatfield Campus, is situated in Hatfield and accommodates six faculties, including the Experimental Farm, the LC de Villiers sport facilities and residences.
The The Van Wouw Museum, Edoardo Villa Museum and Mapungubwe Museum are just some of the museums housed on the campus.
Most of the University’s performing arts facilities are situated in Hatfield, including the Musaion Concert Hall and Aula Theatre.
Places of Interest
Hatfield Plaza Shopping Centre has a compliment of 70 tenants, including Pick & Pay, Wimpy, Clicks, Truworths, Mr.Price, Markhams and Ackermans and is a popular shopping destination for university students living in the area.

Other shopping in Hatfield includes the Duncan Yard arts village and Hatfield Square, famous for its restaurants and night clubs.
Situated on the corner of Arcadia and Grosvenor Streets, the Hatfield Gautrain Station is adjacent to the existing PRASA railway network north of the University of Pretoria. Parking is available at the station.
