Tries, Thrills & Surprises at Grant Khomo Week
Day Two of 2025 FNB Grant Khomo Week Brings Tries, Surprises, and Runaway Wins
Day two of the 2025 FNB Grant Khomo Week at St Albans College in Pretoria delivered a mix of runaway victories and unexpected results as South Africa’s top U16 rugby talent showcased their skills.
Despite the icy Pretoria weather and overcast skies on Wednesday, the young players lit up the fields with exciting, fast-paced rugby. While motorists nearby faced frustrating traffic delays due to SANRAL roadworks on the N1, spectators at St Albans College were treated to thrilling on-field action.
Though a few one-sided matches lacked the competitive edge expected at a tournament of this calibre, the abundance of dazzling tries and attacking rugby more than made up for it.
The day’s action kicked off with a dominant performance from the Limpopo Blue Bulls, who ran in ten unanswered tries to thrash Border Country Districts 60-0 on the Baloyi A-field.
