Three pilots in a pot
It has been nearly four months since Pretoria’s favourite “orphaned” plane could lift off and spread her wings due to the current national lockdown regulations.
The Hill family from Pretoria east have been grounded but had to put their heads and pilots together to make ends meet during the national lockdown.
Mark Hill, Jon-Marc Hill and Ryan Smith swapped their overalls for aprons when they started making and processing droëwors and biltong to make ends meet.
It has been a busy lockdown for the Hill-clan, who not only had to find a new way of getting an income but also had to deal with relocating Little Annie.
“Due to Covid-19, my dad and the crew have started a new and exciting online series – 3 Pilots in a pot. The three pilots have already started making aviation-themed biltong and droëwors,” Courtney Hill said.
