White vs. Everitt as Bulls Champion SA Pride in Europe
White and Everitt is set for Eventful Reunion
Jake White and Sean Everitt will face off in a compelling EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final this Saturday in Edinburgh, marking a full-circle moment in their intertwined coaching careers. Their journey began in 2013 at the Sharks, where White was head coach and Everitt an assistant. Since then, White has won the Challenge Cup with Montpellier and rebuilt the Bulls, while Everitt rose through the Sharks ranks before eventually taking over at Edinburgh.
Now leading opposing teams, the two South African coaches will clash in a high-stakes playoff with deep personal and professional history. Everitt’s Edinburgh, coming off a solid win over the Lions, will rely on home turf advantage, while White’s Bulls bring momentum from their victory over Bayonne. Their past rivalry adds extra tension to a game that’s as much about tactics as it is legacy.
State of the Euro cups: Bulls fly SA flag
The Vodacom Bulls’ quest for European silverware continues with an EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final clash against Edinburgh at Hive Stadium on Saturday.
The BULLS consigned French Top 14 club Bayonne to their first home loss of the season in the round of 16, scoring four tries in a dominant 32-22 win.
It was a great result for Jake White’s side, who would otherwise have returned to South Africa only to head back to Europe for a two-match Vodacom URC tour which includes matches against Munster and Glasgow. They now have a four-match tour that can help them build a real head of steam going into the URC playoffs.
