Bulls Dominate Cardiff to Strengthen URC Top-Two Ambitions
The Vodacom Bulls delivered a clinical performance in Pretoria on Saturday, running in six tries to secure a 45–21 bonus-point victory over Cardiff and leapfrog the Glasgow Warriors into second place in the Vodacom URC.
An early scrum penalty set the tone before centre Harold Vorster finished off Canan Moodie’s kick to extend the advantage. Despite losing fly-half Johan Goosen to injury in the 12th minute, replacement Keagan Johannes slotted two conversions and Wilco Louw powered over for a try. Fullback Willie le Roux’s pinpoint kicking and a well-executed scrum move saw Cameron Hanekom secure the bonus point just before half-time. In the second half, Sebastian de Klerk and Le Roux combined for another score before Cardiff hit back through flanker Alex Mann and added two late tries, but could not prevent the Bulls from running out convincing winners. The Bulls conclude their regular season against the Dragons next Saturday at Loftus, ahead of their home quarter-final on 31 May.
