Big future predicted for versatile young sportsman
Although a gifted sportsman from the north of Pretoria this year has already achieved exceptional achievements on the golf course, the athletics track and in the swimming pool, he could have reached even greater heights if the Covid-19 crisis had not struck.
Apart from the fact that Dylan McMaster is making a name for himself as athlete at Fortis Pretoria North Athletics Club’s, his achievements do not stop at his performances on the athletics track.
McMaster, who has been a member of Fortis Pretoria North throughout his primary school and high school career, is an extremely versatile athlete. He excelled at various school related sports including Golf, Swimming, Cross country and Athletics.
As an athlete, this young star set new records for four consecutive years (2016 to 2019) during his high school’s inter house athletics events. Some of these records stood for more than 30 years.
But he’s more than just an athlete and as an all-rounder sportsman he performed on provincial level in athletics, cross country, swimming (NTS Level 2) and Golf for Gauteng North. In his primary and secondary school career, he was awarded the title of Sports boy of the Year four times and Tshwane West Sportsman of the Year twice.
