Pta temperatures to hit 35 today and tomorrow
Not yet heatwave,’ says SA Weather Service.
Pretoria residents should brace themselves for a hot Tuesday with temperatures predicted to soar up to 35°C.
The SA Weather Service says the sweltering temperatures will only be experienced on Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecaster Venecia Pakula said the province had not reached a threshold for a heatwave.
“For the next three days, we will be experiencing hot temperatures across the province with temperatures peaking in the mid-30s,” she said.
Pakula said things would cool down on Thursday with rain predicted.
“For Thursday, we are predicting a 30% chance of isolated showers and thundershowers as temperatures drop to 31°C,” she said.
“On Friday, going into the weekend, we are seeing a 60% chance of rain with temperatures dipping into the 20s.”
