Pretoria Aims to Transform into an ‘Adventure Zone
Excitement resonates within the tourism industry as Pretoria sets its sights on rebranding itself as the ultimate adventure destination.
Key stakeholders in tourism are enthusiastic about the prospect of portraying Pretoria as the wildest capital on earth.
The Tshwane metro has expressed its full support for the Tshwane Tourism Association’s initiative to promote Pretoria with this bold new identity. Mayor Cilliers Brink conveyed this commitment during his address at the opening of the annual exhibition of businesses and tourism destinations held at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on January 23.
Acknowledging the aspirations of becoming a ‘wild capital,’ Mayor Brink emphasized the importance of ensuring certain prerequisites, particularly in the realm of security. He further assured the association’s management of his dedication to initiating an agreement between the metro and the tourism association.
Nico Rowan, the chairperson of the association, expressed his delight at the realization of a dream as Mayor Brink delivered the keynote speech during the opening ceremony.
