We are rebuilding the Voortrekker Monument
On Wednesday, 24 June, we launched a project whereby we are ‘rebuilding’ the Monument. virtually. In order to accomplish this, we are ‘selling’ the Monument as well as Blood River. By purchasing a piece of the Monument or Blood River, the ‘buyer’ gets a certificate indicating what he bought and his name is taken up in our archives as one of the people who made a difference during this serious crisis by making a financial contribution. He is also an honourary ‘owner’ of the Monument.
The Monument and Blood River has been divided into pieces that consist of the granite blocks, the windows, the corner figures, the wagon laager and more. The reaction has been so overwhelming that most of the Monument has already been ‘sold’.
The price list of the remaining items can be obtained from Thea Furstenburg by clicking on the link below or phone 012 326 6770 to reserve your choice.
