Update: Emergency shutdown of Iscor Reservoir
16 August 2019
The City of Tshwane would like to notify the residents of Pretoria West about a delay in commencing with repair work to a broken valve on the outgoing pipeline of the Iscor Reservoir.
The delay is due to the slow-moving pace at which the reservoir is draining. Currently, the water level is at 50%.
The reservoir is still being drained and we hope that the above percentage will be less within the next 24 hours.
The repair work period will depend on how quickly the reservoir is emptied.
Roaming tankers have been arranged to supply consumers in the affected areas with water.
The following areas/facilities are affected by the interruption:
- Pretoria Industrial
- West Park
- Kwaggasrand
- Proclamation Hill
- SAPS Training College
Residents will be kept abreast of developments.
The City wishes to apologise for any inconvenience that may arise as a result of this unplanned interruption.
