Tshwane’s customer care system to be affected by maintenance
10 October 2019
The City of Tshwane will on Saturday, 12 October 2019, conduct maintenance of its SAP system. This maintenance work includes the replacement of generators at one of the City’s data centres.
In order to ensure the safety of the workers and the highly sensitive equipments, the City is compelled to shut down the power supply to the facility where the equipments are being housed. It is unfortunate that this shutdown will affect all City of Tshwane Customer Care Services from 8:00 till 16:00.
Customer Care Services such as power failures, sewerage blockage, water meters, pipe leakages as well as waste collection will be compromised. Only the SMS lines – 082 612 0333 – for reporting power failure complaints will be operational. Residents are advised to expect delays on the turn-around time of calls logged through this line due to the anticipated backlog.
The City apologises profusely to members of the community who will be inconvenienced by this disruption.
Residents are urged to remain patient during this period.
