Tshwane requests donations and material support
08 April 2020
The City of Tshwane humbly requests donations, relief material and assistance from the business sector and organisations to give impetus to its efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19, particularly among the vulnerable and downtrodden of our communities.
The City has been working with other spheres of government in an effort to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, commonly known as the Corona virus, which can be more ravaging to the vulnerable sections of our communities, such as the homeless and those living in informal settlements.
We are grateful for the kind assistance we have received thus far from various Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), businesses and organisations, and we would like intensify our call to others that have not yet made any contribution to pledge their support and offer donations in any form – monetary or relief material – to lessen the burden on the already stretched financial resources of the municipality.
The City of Tshwane believes that the generosity and benevolence of business and NGOs in this regard will go a long way in preventing and containing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic which has already claimed lives of South Africans.
The City’s Emergency Services Department further requests any organisation willing to make in-kind donations or to provide relief material to assist in managing the effects of COVID-19 in Tshwane, to drop off such at the Centurion Emergency Services Station, 3 Basden Avenue, Centurion. Donors should contact either of the following officials:

2. Deputy Chief Rudi Brenner on 012 358 2228, 082 494 1291 or email: rudib@tshwane.gov.za<mailto:rudib@tshwane.gov.za>
