Tshwane metro to handover a house in time for Christmas
23 December 2019
City of Tshwane’s Member of Mayoral Committee responsible for Housing and Human Settlement, Councillor Sello Maimane will today, December 23 2019, handover a house in Atteridgeville, in good time for Christmas.
The house belongs to the Lekganyane family. The original house was built in the 1970s and has been experiencing structural defects in the last few years.
The structural instability led to major cracks to the Lekganyane’s family home. The metropolitan municipality stepped in by conducting assessments as a result the house was declared to be not safe for occupation. The recommendation was for the house to be demolished and rebuilt from scratch. Through the Housing and Human Settlement Department, the City of Tshwane embarked on a project to build a new house for the family. The house has been completed and will be handed over the owners.
Details of the hand over are as follows:
Date: 23 December 2019
Time: 10h00am
Venue: 25 Statue Street, Saulsville
Interviews will be afforded to media onsite.
Issued by the Tshwane Metro Police Communication Unit.
