Tshwane customer care services affected by illegal protest
1 August 2019
Residents across the City of Tshwane are informed about disruptions at the City’s Customer Care Centres today, 1 August 2019.
Customer care services such as power failures, sewerage blockage, water meters, pipe leakages as well as waste collection have been compromised due to ongoing intimidation of personnel at the Customer Care Centres since yesterday.
There is currently no personnel at the centres to attend to calls and e-mails. Only the SMS lines – 44676 and 082 612 0333 – for reporting power failure complaints are operational. Residents are advised to anticipate delays on the turn-around on calls logged through these lines as some of our technicians are being intimidated by protesters.
The City apologises profusely to members of the community who are greatly frustrated and inconvenienced by this illegal protest action.
Residents are urged to remain patient during this period and will be kept abreast on the developments.
