Refuse collection to continue uninterrupted during lockdown
22 April 2020
The City of Tshwane would like to assure its residents of our commitment to ensure that waste collection continues unconstrained during the COVID-19 extended lockdown period.
In our endeavour to provide a hassle-free waste management service, we request assistance and cooperation from our residents by placing their waste bins outside their homes for collection by no later than 07:30 in the morning weekdays on the day of collection, as per the normal schedule.
This will help us ensure that no waste bins are left uncollected on the day of collection, as we have already noted a trend where some of the bins are left uncollected due to residents taking out bins late. Uncollected bins pose a health hazard risk which has the potential to undermine government’s efforts to curb the rapid spread of the Corona virus.
The City is confident that residents will heed our call and comply with the request.
