Mooikloof Substation Good progress on Restoration

The City is making good progress towards restoring service via the Mooikloof Substation.  

Today, the teams have tried to catch up on the time lost over the past few days due to the incessant rain. The steel trusses for Roof B are nearly done and the roof sheeting will go up tonight. Once that is done, the high voltage panels and batteries will be installed.

We have commenced with the rerouting of cables that will provide power to all the panels.

Concurrently the team has concluded the testing of the transformers and has commenced with proactive maintenance thereof while the sub-station is shut down.

An update will be provided later this afternoon.
