Tshwane’s COVID-19 Ward-Based outreach targeted screening and testing campaign will this Friday, 17 July 2020 target the identified Coronavirus hotspots in Temba (Hammanskraal) and Laudium.
The City developed a COVID-19 operational plan which aims to raise awareness about the pandemic, test and screen as many people as possible across all the seven regions of Tshwane.
The key aim of the City’s COVID-19 screening and testing plan is to raise awareness on the rapid spread of the Corona virus and it will be achieved by implementing the following objectives:

- Conducting a street work and outreach programme in identified shopping centres and in areas perceived to be high risk to the spread the COVID-19.
- Screening and testing all persons who show the following COVID-19 signs: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing.
