Girl 13, helps peers overcome fears
Nobuhle Shabangu of Mamelodi East has become one of the youngest people in the country to have a book published.
The 13-year-old is the author of As I Grow, Living and Learning That Life is a Gift, which was launched last Friday. In it, she seeks to make her readers, but most importantly her peers, understand the importance of being a blessing to others in their day-to-day lives.
In the run-up to the launch, the free-spirited Nobuhle sat in her mother’s kitchen reading her book, nervous and excited.
“I have always had an interest in reading and writing, so I had this crazy idea to write a book instead of reading other authors’ books all the time.
