Eskom blasted from several quarters as load shedding worsens
Pretoria – Power utility Eskom was yesterday slammed from several quarters for failing to solve the 14-year-old load shedding problem in the country after it announced a Stage 4 of the controlled power outage.
Eskom said it regretfully found itself forced to implement stage 4 at 7.20am following trips at Majuba Unit 5 and Tutuka Unit 4.
According to the DA, Eskom should simply declare a state of disaster because its old generation fleet appeared to be on life support.
Covid-19 update platform @BitaSciComm said: “When we go to stage 4, millions of people cannot work and earn a living. More businesses will collapse and more people will lose their jobs.
