Cold snap, rain set to hit Gauteng
Gauteng residents have been warned to prepare for a cold snap with temperatures set to drop significantly on Thursday.
The South African Weather Service says that most parts of the country will be also affected.
Forecaster Bransby Bulo says that maximum temperatures will peak at around 16 and 19 degrees with a 60% chance of showers for the province.
“The cold conditions will start in the southwest, that’s mainly in the Western Cape from tomorrow, then spread to the Eastern Cape on Wednesday and then it will reach Gauteng by Thursday.”
Temperatures are expected to pick up from Saturday.
