City of Tshwane: Water supply shut down from Friday
The planned shutdown is expected to start on August 19 and last until August 23.
Parts of Tshwane might be without water for 87 hours from Friday as Rand Water connected its newly laid network.
In a statement, the metro said the shutdown was expected to be between 09:30 on August 19 to August 23 at 01:00.
The metro said a booster station should supply the residents with reduced water than normal and urged residents to use water sparingly during this time to prevent reservoirs from running dry.
“Residents should also ensure that they store sufficient water to sustain them for the duration of the shutdown,” the statement read.
