Be water-wise Pretoria residents urged
“Some suburbs are therefore without water and some have restricted water flow.”
Pretoria residents are being urged to continue cutting down on their water usage as reservoirs across the capital are reaching critically low levels.
The Tshwane metro said in a statement various reservoirs were extremely low.
“Some suburbs are therefore without water and some have restricted water flow,” it said.
“Water supply will only be restored once water levels have normalised.”
The warning comes after the Garsfontein reservoir’s level dipped below the 40 percent mark on Saturday evening.
“Residents in the area are consuming water at a high rate,” the metro said.
“Consumers may soon be without water if water is not used sparingly.”
