Education First: SAPS Leads Motivational School Visits
Community-Led Initiative Empowers Learners for the New School Year
A collaborative effort spearheaded by SAPS Villieria police officers and supported by community stakeholders has uplifted local learners as they embark on the 2025 academic year.
From January 15 to 22, the SAPS Villieria team, under the guidance of Vispol Commander Lieutenant Colonel Theledi and Vispol Support officers, conducted a series of school visits as part of their “Back to School” initiative. Partnering with various organisations, they reached over 20 schools, including Laerskool Villieria, Hoërskool Oos-Moot, Laerskool Queenswood, Kilnerton Primary, and Hoërskool Staatspresident CR Swart.
Warrant Officer Marinda Austin highlighted the importance of this initiative, emphasizing that learners were welcomed back to an exciting chapter of “new beginnings and fresh opportunities.” During the visits, motivational and educational talks were delivered, focusing on the theme: “Success begins with a schoolbag and education.”
This inspiring project not only motivated students to approach the new school year with enthusiasm but also underscored the value of education as the foundation for success. Through the collective efforts of SAPS officers and community members, the initiative showcased the power of unity in shaping a brighter future for the youth.
