Residents should prepare for a significant cold front
Pretoria residents should prepare for a significant cold front moving in over the next few days, bringing with it a notable drop in temperatures and strong winds.
According to Vox Weather forecaster Michelle du Plessis, temperatures are expected to fall below 20°C, with daytime highs around 18°C in Pretoria.
Additionally, a high-pressure system trailing the front will contribute to windy conditions, especially on Thursday.
While snow is anticipated in higher elevations such as the southern Drakensberg and Lesotho, it’s unlikely that Pretoria will experience snowfall. However, the city can expect chilly winds and cooler temperatures as the cold air spreads inland.
Residents are advised to dress warmly and exercise caution when using heating devices to prevent fire hazards. For the most accurate and up-to-date weather information, it’s recommended to monitor official channels like the South African Weather Service and Vox Weather
