New food and entertainment hub at Menlyn Park
Fast food and fun will come together in a fresh new feature at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, creating a contemporary new double-level Food and Entertainment Court.
The new Food and Entertainment Court is scheduled to open in December 2014. It will include outlets such as Steers, Debonairs, Chicken Licken, Karai, Fishaways, KFC, Kauai, Anat Falafel & Shwarma and Filo. Burger King will also join the centre’s tenant mix.
Adding to the excitement, The Fun Company also opens its doors this December, becoming the biggest Fun Company in the country. This entertainment centre will provide secure, interactive all-round entertainment for all ages.
As part of this retail revolution, the centre’s former events arena is being redeveloped into a dedicated Food and Entertainment Court and will feature a tasty menu of fast food outlets, South Africa’s largest Fun Company with ten-pin bowling, and a modern communal seating area. The court will be crowned with a new glazed façade, creating a light, airy and enjoyable ambiance.
Once the delicious new Food and Entertainment Court opens, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre’s current Food Court will get a slick overhaul to introduce a new fashion wing for the centre’s stylish shoppers, which is set to open next year on the upper level. This fashion-focused node will offer desirable mono-brand stores and feature labels such as C-Squared, Paris Hilton and Replay Denim
Construction of the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre expansion and refurbishment began in April 2014 and the entire project is scheduled for completion in November 2016. The centre is trading as normal and areas under refurbishment have been carefully hoarded off to ensure disruption to shoppers and retailers is minimised.
