Street Rod and Muscle Car Nationals 2015
Wonderboom Airport was packed with classic car lovers on Sunday the 25th of April.
Every year, the Pretoria Street Rod Club hosts the Street Rod and Muscle Car Nationals showcasing cars that date as far back as the 20’s.
The conversations among car enthusiasts standing between the motors dabble mostly on the model of the vehicles or old memories triggered by the old cars.
People like Johann and Morne’ spent their day at the street rod looking pleased because they just love cars, “especially the row lined up with models from the 60’s and 70’s,” they said.
For classic car owners like Seth Phalatse who built-in a right hand steering wheel for his 1964 Chevrolet Impala said, “I’ve always like cars, preferably the Chevrolet because its built according to my taste of how I want each part of a car to be.”
The aim of the Street Rod Club is to create an environment for people with the same passion for cars and pickups.
