Ga-Mothakga Resort
There are many stories of the men’s bravery as the SS Mendi went down. Ga-Mothakga Recreation Resort celebrates the historical memories of the SS Mendi and how South African troops were honoured by the king and queen of England in July 1917. The commemoration of the sinking of the SS Mendi is held on the third Sunday of February every year.
At Ga-Mothakga Recreation Resort, adults can enjoy the braai stand, while children have fun at the kids’ splash pool. The park also has for picnic areas for day visitors.
