First-Ever Emergency Service Carnival a Success
The first-ever Emergency Service Carnival took place at The Moot Lockhouse Park on March 1, offering the community a chance to connect with first responders who assist during traumatic events like accidents and fires.
“These are the individuals who keep our neighborhoods safe by responding to emergencies,” said Warrant Officer Marinda Austin of Villieria Police Station. “The event was also aimed at building trust among law enforcement agencies and fostering open communication to enhance community safety,” Austin added.
The carnival attracted police officers, first responders, and community members. Exhibitors included various organizations focused on public safety and well-being, such as the SAPS Villieria Community Policing Forum, Proshield Security, Brinant Security, Kilnerpark Security, Fidelity Security, City of Tshwane Emergency Service Department, Best Care, and Mon Ami Trauma Troopers.
