Time to drive!
It is time for you to get your drivers licence, but where do you start?
We will help you prepare for your K53 driving test in either LMV (Light Motor Vehicle), HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle) or Motorcycle. Aspects which includes the structure of the test, pre-trip inspections, the yard test, the road test and your vehicle controls, should be perfected beforehand in order for you to pass your driver’s licence and drive on the open roads.

2. “What do I have to do to pass the test?
If you read the article on “How to apply and get your driver’s licence”, you will have notice at bullet 6 that you will be assessed by a qualified examiner and at bullet 8 that you should have passed the test afterwards. But what does this test all include? The following pointers will give you a brief explanation of things to expect on the day of your driver’s test.
Structure of the test
During the yard test you will need to demonstrate parking manoeuvres, successful reversing and moving off on an incline without rolling.
Road test
A practical driving test on the road (out of the yard) with other. Light motor-vehicles have 20
minutes in which to complete the Yard test, while Heavy Motor-vehicles have
30. The practical test is allotted between 20 and 45 minutes.
Pre-trip inspection
The Pre-trip inspection is to show the examiner that your vehicle is roadworthy. Make sure you go over the pre-trip inspections with your driving instructor.
An interior and exterior inspection of your vehicle will be expected from you do go through with the examiner.
