In a celebration that echoed with the clinks of finely crafted blades and the admiration of intricate craftsmanship, aficionados from the Cape to the Capital City converged at the 11th annual Brooklyn knife show.
This three-day spectacle immersed attendees in the artistry of knife making, transforming a simple event into a standout experience. Collectors and enthusiasts alike reveled in the diverse array of knives, swords, and axes meticulously displayed, creating an atmosphere that resonated with passion for the blade.
Blade lovers gathered together under one roof at the 11th annual Brooklyn knife show this past weekend.
Justin Smith, a seasoned knife collector and a regular attendee, shared his excitement about the show’s perpetual ability to surprise. “Every time I attend, there’s something that truly captivates me. The highlight is undoubtedly the opportunity to connect with renowned custom knife makers and skilled bladesmiths.
It’s a chance to delve into the world of diverse blades, swords, and axes that cater to collectors’ discerning tastes,” he remarked.
Organized by Neels van den Berg, one of the 115 Bladesmith Society Masters worldwide, the show has undergone a remarkable transformation since its humble beginnings.
Van den Berg expressed pride in the event’s evolution, stating, “We started small 11 years ago, and now, we boast tables reaching up to the roof. The growth of the show is a testament to the thriving community of blade enthusiasts and the craftsmanship that binds us together.”
