Brooklyn CPF Looks to Build on Established Successes
Brooklyn Community Policing Forum (CPF) aims to strengthen its efforts and continue building on past accomplishments, according to spokesperson Emile Sievers, who responded to recent remarks from newly elected Sector 1 chairperson, Gabedi Mogatwe. Mogatwe had earlier claimed that the area’s CPF had been inactive for a prolonged period, sparking clarification from the current CPF team.
The Brooklyn CPF executive noted that Mogatwe, who recently assumed leadership of the CPF and its Sector 1 subcommittee, was not previously involved with the CPF’s activities and, therefore, may not have been fully informed about the progress achieved in recent years.
The executive team, which includes Sector 2 chairperson Louis Erasmus, Sector 3 chairperson Hannes van Staden, Sector 4 chairperson Mike Michaelides, and spokesperson Emile Sievers, hopes to bring Mogatwe up to speed and align the new leadership with the CPF’s ongoing initiatives. Sievers emphasized that collaboration within the team is essential to continue supporting the community and addressing local safety concerns effectively.
