Ol’ Timers MCC Heels on Steel Women’s Day Celebration – 2019
10 August 2019
By Ronel Mare
Yesterday, the 9th of August, the Ol’ Timers biker club celebrated National Women’s Day, a little bit differently to the 1956 women’s mass march to the Union Buildings.
Hundreds came by motorcycles and some by car, dressed in fashionable colours and decorations of pink, showing their support to all the women in South Africa. Some came dressed a little naughty {like the Jelly babes in the photo above}, some came dressed nice and others came dressed full of spice.
The event kicked off in the right manner, with an opening prayer, asking for God’s blessing. This for each and every woman that had to deal with everyday hardships, including those who had to deal with the loss of a loved one.
On a lighter note, the usual women’s games brought smiles and laughter to the day!
Big thanks once again to the Ol’ Timers MCC biker club, for setting a strong foundation and creating a platform, where women can celebrate, unite and share sisterhood.
“A strong woman isn’t afraid of anyone or of any obstacle. She’s resilient, powerful and kind. Overall, all women are strong women in their own way. As long as they keep on fighting for each other, standing together, they can’t be broken” – Anonymous
