IMPI Challenge: 15 October @ the Smuts House, Irene

The area in and around the historical Smuts House in Irene, is known for hosting country fairs, flea markets etc. But after the IMPI Challenge was held there this past Saturday, well let us just say; we can confirm that indeed things will never be the same!
If racing in itself does not come with enough blood, sweat and tears; some also prefer to have themselves covered in mud while doing so. They claim to enjoy climbing over things, getting covered in mud, getting wet and to push their cardiovascular endurance to its boundaries. According to the IMPI’s, they love all this ‘getting down and in the dirt business’, because it is a fun way to be competitive and to share quality team building time with friends or colleagues. I asked one of the participants to sum up the race for me and his reply was:
“You will get wet and dirty, you will laugh and you will cry, you will give up and you will find courage to go on, but all in all, you will have a blast!”
Obstacle racing is still a new and hot trend in the South African fitness arena and it’s becoming more and more popular. If you believe that you can face more than just the obstacle course itself, the IMPI Challenge is designed to let you also deal with the obstacles in your life – by overcoming those mental, physical and emotional challenges. Anyone can participate (individual or as a team), no matter your age or level of fitness.
Participants or IMPI’s and all you spectators, see if we caught you on camera:
