Yesterday, on Women’s Day, it became clear that; “you ride like a girl” comments was set aside and that any woman on a motorcycle – rider or pillion – is a triumph for all riders!
Hundreds of biker woman from far and wide, attended this Woman’s day “Heels on Steel” celebration, in customary pink attire and high heels. The OL’ Timer’s club insured that Womanhood were celebrated in style – with the usual games hosted in secret and live entertainment by Pieter Strydom, Jaycee Crause and the lovely Lezahn.
Pink has definitely become the new black and so has biker women in general. Even though they had only been regarded as a small percentage of riders and pillions, many more woman enjoy motorcycling and is doing so against an enormous number of barriers. Although biker woman was regarded as unladylike in the past, women bikers has surely become pioneers in the field and they need to get the respect they deserve.
Big up to the OL’ Timers MCC for once again hosting a triumphant event, and making each and every woman feel exceptional.
