1925 Band’s BeeGees Tribute
13 February
Met haar akoestiese kitaar deel sy haar oorspronklike musiek: “Die Liefde”, “’n Man Soos My Pa” & “Hou Vas”.
All the hits are included in the programme: “Alone”, “Massachusetts”, “To love somebody”, “I’ve got to get a message to you”, “Words”, “Islands in the stream”, “One”, “Night Fever”, ”More than a woman”, “How deep is your love” (apparently the most covered “BeeGees” song), “Jive Talkin’”, “Tragedy” & “Stayin’ Alive”.
I often mention that a band is well rehearsed but “1925” is next level in this regard. These guys are dedicated to honor “The BeeGees”’s legacy. Their harmonizing abilities (taught by their single parent mother) are exceptional.
With “Lonely Days” they adjust the pace. One guitar & 3 voices harmonizing was a “BeeGees” speciality & tonight this group masterfully performs “Too much heaven”, “Nights on Broadway” & “Heartbreaker” in the same way. A jazz infused rendition of “How can you mend a broken heart” is one of my personal favourites of the show.
Tonight marks the final show of this highly successful tour. The guys end this momentous show with 2 of their original songs: “Johnny & the monkey” & “Loving you in Amsterdam”.
