Open-air market the perfect mini-getaway over weekends
“The team at BusStop7 is committed to creating a one-stop venue where young and old can come together. We celebrate and support the talents and creations of South African entrepreneurs and craftsmen.”
Every weekend, hundreds flock to the BusStop7 open-air market to shop all things vintage – the thrifting experience that pops up just outside east of Pretoria.
Since the first market started in September 2020, it has remained a staple in local lives and created a connection with the community even though Covid-19.
At one of over 160 stalls, market-goers can look forward to freshly cut flowers, organic fruit and vegetables, home-baked bread, cheese, free-range eggs, raw honey, excellent quality meat, and other baked treats.
The food stalls offer a variety of exciting options such as pancakes, sushi, waffles with cream and strawberries, fish and chips, shawarma, and vetkoek, just to name a few.
The bespoke art, craft and décor stalls include handcrafted jewelry, apparel, fine art, and much more.
According to the organizer, Marinda Prinsloo, it is the perfect place in Pretoria where people can come together and enjoy a sense of real community.
“The team at BusStop7 is committed to creating a one-stop venue where young and old can come together. We celebrate and support the talents and creations of South African entrepreneurs and craftsmen.
“It is both our goal and passion to help people realize the importance of buying locally manufactured items,” she said.
A significant aspect of the market is that it is pet-friendly.
