Hazel Food & Arts, Crafts, Culture Market 2025
Venue: Phobians Club
Dates: PERMANENT EVENT
Times: 08:00 - 14:00

Since 2009, Hazel Food Market and the Arts, Crafts & Culture Market have been a beloved weekend destination in Pretoria, where nature, shopping, and community spirit blend seamlessly.
At Hazel Food Market, patrons discover a diverse selection of fresh food products that truly represent the best of Pretoria’s local offerings. Whether you’re after seasonal fruits and vegetables, fragrant spices, fresh and processed meats, eggs, or homemade bread and confectionery, there’s something to satisfy every palate. On-site snack options range from pancakes and jaffles to roosterkoek, gourmet burgers, sushi, and more, ensuring an exciting culinary experience every Saturday.
Complementing the food stalls is the Arts, Crafts & Culture market, a haven for handmade treasures. Here, you can browse an array of unique items, including fine carpentry, candle holders, soft toys, tablecloths, vintage jackets, dresses, new shoes, porcelain, glassware, books, and collectibles. This market emphasizes creativity and craftsmanship, offering visitors exclusive keepsakes and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Hosted every Saturday from 08:00 to 14:00 at the Pretoria High School Old Boys Club in Lynnwood, Pretoria East, the market promises a peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere. Co-ordinator Jean-Pierre Verster describes the experience as “nature and shopping in perfect balance.” Guests can enjoy friendly conversations, the soothing sounds of nature, and even bring their leashed dogs. Added convenience comes from the secure on-site parking and a dedicated Pavilion area featuring acclaimed stalls like one offering some of the best cheeses in Gauteng, as well as a fresh vegetable stall. The newly designed seating area, constructed in collaboration with the club, provides a comfortable space to relax and enjoy a game of cricket.
For those seeking a vibrant day out that combines gourmet delights, artistic expression, and community connection, Hazel Food Market and the Arts, Crafts & Culture Market remain the ideal destination.
